We settled for this place after our plans didn't work out and I'm glad we did! The food was super delicious and packed with flavorful fillings!! The staff was quite cold to us... when we sat down, the handed us a menu and ipad and didn't instruct us how to order. They left us at our table for quite a long time before returning. When I asked for soy sauce, the lady seemed annoyed. Also took them forever to give us the check.

Food was great. If you're looking for great dim sum, this is the place. Their radish cake (萝卜糕) is the best I've had. Their shrimp dumpling and chicken feet taste very fresh, and their deli meats (roast pig, char siu, and roast duck) are so delicious! Their sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf has a bunch of fillings, and I loved their salt and paper shrimp! Service is pretty decent, we went for dinner so dim sum was order to eat but it came out fairly quick. I loved the look of the restaurant too, looks very upscale but prices are very decent.

Yummy dim sum in Chinatown. Saw a tik tok of this place so wanted to try it out. Got seated right away and there were a good amount of people there. The food was all yummy, but I was sad that they didn't have my favorite pan fried noodles even though it was on the menu. I also did think they were going to have the carts but they didn't. Our waitress was nice and attentive. The food came out so quickly. Overall, good experience and good food.

Authentic dim sum. Seriously speaking, you know you're in for a treat when you not only see reviews raving about a place but have people of the culture of the restaurant munching away happily. That said, we had landed in Chicago, checked into the hotel, and three of us (myself included) were debating where to go get lunch. We wound up choosing to go to Chinatown as we had one member in our group not feeling her best and she wanted some soup. We ended up ordering a bunch of plates. Some soup, shrimp crepes, shumai, shrimp rolls, BBQ pork buns, and egg custard tarts adorned our table. When I say we ate like queens, we honestly and truly did. We even had minor leftovers and had we had microwaves at the hotel, I would have at least jumped to keep these leftovers. To think I had been to Chicago before this trip and not gone to Chinatown - that is a real travesty. Luckily that's been remedied and this restaurant was a legit joy. I only wish we had had the traditional dim sum carts.

I've been to Minghin a few times for dim sum (and once for their regular food which I did really like, but that was years ago). Most recently, I went this month for mostly dim sum (my vegetarian friend got a veggie lo mein which was definitely not great and I would give 3 stars) and one order of the u-choy with garlic (delicious, found on the back of the dim sum menu). I think the quality of the items ranges - some of the dim sum classics like the shrimp crepe/rice noodle was 3 stars (could have added more sauce and been fresher / the rice noodle part wasn't very soft or good). The chicken feet and fried shrimp rolls were 4 stars - I've definitely had better dim sum versions of both but they were still good. I do wish they paired the fried shrimp rolls with mayo instead of a sweet and sour sauce which I've had in other dim sum places and in my opinion, suit way better. I would say 5 stars is the bbq pork buns and the fried minced pork dumplings (so good, better than some other ones I've had in the city). In general, I don't think I would have MingHin be my dim sum go-to (I've had better dim sum elsewhere in the city but MingHin is open later) but maybe that will change next time. I also feel like I remember MingHin being better during past visits.

Opens later ~ 12am (and across from here is a milk tea shop heh) There's plenty eateries along this strip mall but Bonnie C. and I were wanting something that opened past 9pm to 10pm with good reviews~ tada, MingHin Cuisine! We wanted smaller portions vs a full entrée meal so we opt for the dimsum, but on the iPad there's also family style dishes so plenty of variety for everyone! Dim sum tasted great ~ standard and hearty I'd definitely bring my parents here if we ever visit Chicago haha

I crowned this place the best dim sum in the Midwest, at least for me. I have yet to find many good dim sum places in Michigan. Therefore, whenever I travel to Chicago, I sneak in dim sum for lunch on my itinerary. So far, this has been the best. Great menu options. The place is also authentic in terms of ambiance and flavor. Food came out quickly. We ordered shrimp dumplings, shumai, sticky rice wraps, rice rolls (both with fried dough and shrimp), chicken feet, steamed pork buns, turnip cake, water chestnut cake, steamed cake, pan-fried chives dumplings, pig trotter, and potstickers. Everything tastes delicious! It was a LOT of food, and I was SO stuffed by the end of the meal, but I enjoyed everything. It was reasonably priced, and the service was quick.

I've been to this location countless times for lunch and dinner. It's great for groups. I've eaten downstairs but mostly upstairs because there is a lot more space for groups. I had dim sum as well as the regular menu. I saw the complaints people had, and they really need to stop ordering the same Americanized Chinese dishes. Part of the experience is being able to try new items that you don't normally eat. Otherwise, you might as well go to Panda Express to get your standard orange chicken and fried rice. The food here is actually pretty good if you know what to order. For parking, if you parked in the two big lots then you can validate your ticket after eating. Instead of $15-16, it'll be like $2. If you go late at night, you can park in that much smaller parking lot behind Minghin. It's free. You order on the piece of paper or tablet, not difficult. It's about the same as ordering at kiosks at other places. Service is not bad. They don't need to smile, just need to bring out your food and refill your drinks. I had many servers there that didn't smile but the service was always fast. Yes, they bring out one dish at a time, not altogether. I've been to many, many types of restaurants. Even some American ones also bring one dish out at a time, not a hard concept to understand.
